After spending all night doing the right thing by completing my shift, not skipping out and actually doing everything that was needed, I went down to my old home away from home, Black Bottle. I had a couple more drinks and the accompaniments for the new lamb dish on the menu (they were out of the actual lamb). It was good. Really good…

While sitting, drinking and making jokes with some old friends from the ‘bottle, I noticed a familiar face behind me. It was Blair from my Culinary School days. And she looked stunning…

Back in school, I always thought that she was one of the nicest people I knew. I respect her ability in the kitchen and as a human being. She is a very nice, kind and giving person. She is also very pretty. The kind of pretty that if she decided to always dress the way she did last night, she would have guys falling at her feet constantly. If I were single I would have pursued her as a potential girlfriend (despite how troll-like I tend to be).

Last night, I truly was in awe as to how good she looked. Modest, but sensual. I truely wish she would have had a good, steady boyfriend by now. She, of all people I knew back in culinary school, deserves it.

I showed her a couple pictures of Basia, and she congratulated me on my little family. After telling her that I was now working at Holiday Inn, she said that I was better than that.
