Peter Murphy, VNV Nation and my COD

Monday, June 20th, 2005 by CarbonCopy

The week of my Chef of the Day, I saw two shows.

The Monday before my COD Julie and I saw Peter Murphy. It’s official, he’s not a Vampire. He’s aging now. Finally.

The show was very good and surprising. He took a break, on stage right in the middle of the show, complete with witty commentary and taking questions from the audience. He did a very nice rendition of “Your Face” off of Dust that broke me up a little bit. All-in-all it was a very good show.

The day of my Chef of the Day was hard, a bit stressful, but I think I was graded fairly. In the aftermath, I got good kudos from students, staff, Chef Instructors and customers alike. I received very good constructive criticism, I felt, from all of the above.

After my COD, Julie and I went to see VNV Nation. Good show, but Julie got really tired and a bit cranky at the end of it. Julie poops out around midnight, but that’s expected. She’s not a night-owel anyway.
